I'm in my third year studying Illustration Design with Animation at NAFA, and it's been an incredible journey. Thanks to ANSA, my dream of studying in Singapore became a reality — they made the entire application process smooth and stress-free, giving me the confidence to pursue my passion. The faculty is outstanding, and they encourage us to push boundaries and experiment with new ideas. During my time here I've won awards, travelled to China to showcase my work, and even had my artwork displayed at Changi Airport.

During my years there I found my language in painting, and with guidance from my lecturers I redefined my art-making into a process rooted in research. “NAFA gave me exposure to a wide variety of skillsets useful for arts and animation projects. Lecturers supported my technical skills and project management in key areas such as storyboarding, thematic writing and reaching a wider audience through graphic novels, posters and animated videos. NAFA also gave me the opportunity to intern at the Ministry of Education, Singapore for a semester, working on illustrations for student science learning platforms.”

Studying at NAFA through the BA in Design Practice has been an extraordinary and transformative journey. Year 1 introduced me to fashion design; Year 2 focused on service design, teaching me to craft user-centric solutions; and by Year 3 the internship attachment — which the school helped me secure — gave me invaluable industry experience. What truly sets NAFA apart is its multicultural, diverse environment: collaborating with classmates from different creative backgrounds enriched every project.
